ENNEAGRAM
The Enneagram is a powerful tool for personal and collective transformation. Stemming from the Greek words ennea (nine) and grammos (a written symbol), the nine-pointed Enneagram symbol represents nine distinct strategies for relating to the self, others and the world.
Each Enneagram type has a different pattern of thinking, feeling and acting that arises from a deeper inner motivation or worldview. Learning about these patterns fosters greater understanding through a universal language that transcends gender, religion, nationality and culture. While we are all unique, we share common experiences.
Enneagram is an “inside job” that begins with you determining your own type, and then exploring ever-deepening personal and/or professional development The Enneagram also helps you create healthier relationships and provides tools to work through conflicts. Determining our personality type through the Enneagram does not put us in a box, but helps us see the box from which we experience the world. With this awareness, we can step outside of our limited perspective. Ideally, personality is an effective way to express ourselves, but challenges arise when our point of view becomes rigid and we get stuck in automatic habits By discovering these unconscious patterns, we can lead more fulfilling lives, enjoy healthier relationships, and connect to our true essence.
Each Enneagram type has a home base in one of the three centers of intelligence – head, heart and body – that shapes our way of being in the world.
Each personality types play with other types We have arrows and wings Arrows are the numbers we go to when we are either stressed or relaxed We take either good or bad traits Wings are like hands, we have two hands but can favour either one We take the traits of the personality on the either side of you on the wheel.
