English Verbs I ♦ To make the past tense of regular verbs we simply add “ed” at the end. ● work – worked ● study – studied He worked very hard yesterday. Tom studied in that school when he was younger. ♦ Irregular verbs are not that simple. English Verbs II Affirmative He worked very hard yesterday. Negative Interrogative He didn’t work very hard yesterday. Did he work very hard yesterday? Tom studied in that school when he was younger. Tom didn’t study in that school when he was younger. Did Tom study in that school when he was younger? Mrs Brown taught us maths. Mrs Brown didn’t teach us maths. Did Mrs Brown teach us maths?
