Go to Hell! (Or The New World!) Religious conflict between Anglicans, Puritans, Catholics, and eventually Quakers led to many people seeking spiritual freedom (for themselves!)in America.

Man, This Place Stinks • Crowding, lack of opportunities, and eviction due to criminal activities also drove English families to the New World. It seemed like a good place to dump the ‘scum’ and the poor.
