Planning a riddle… This lesson will help you to plan some ideas for your own riddle. First you need to decide what animal your riddle will be about… Choose an animal you know some facts about already! Or…if you fancy a challenge choose an animal you don’t know much about and spend some time researching it first!

This means you need to think carefully about what it looks like. Include lots of adjectives so that you can write some expanded noun phrases in your riddle. Remember you don’t need to write in full sentences on your plan. Key words and notes are best!
