RULES • All school rules (no electronics or hats, keep good attendance, etc. ) • Be on time and always come prepared with the necessary materials • Be respectful to all • Seek extra help when needed

Positive Behavior • Turn in all assignments on time • Be on time and come prepared • Seek extra help and support when you need it (HW Central, B&G Club, etc. ) • Be in constant communication with Ms. Ballard (check grade, extra help, etc. )
REWARDS! • If you have an “A” at the end of the semester, you are exempt from taking the final • If you have the highest grade in the class at the end of the semester, you will be invited to a pizza/award party
Course Requirements • Consequence for being unprepared: Lower grade and lower work habits/citizenship • Inability to complete all assignments BE PREPARED!!!
ABSENCES • Unexcused – zeroes for all work missed (including tests & major projects) • Excused – check school website and see Ms. B (before or after school) within 3 days of return to get what was missed/schedule make-ups
GRADES • • Tests/Quizzes – 50% Writing/Projects – 30% Standards Practice – 20% Work Habits/Citizenship – O, S, U, N
SUPPLIES • • Textbook Paper (white, loose-leaf) Pens (blue or black and red) #2 pencils (at least 2 with erasers) Dry erase marker Composition notebook Art Supplies (optional)
EXTRA GUIDELINES • Each assignment must be labeled with your full name, the date and the class period (upper right corner) • Think before you speak. Be an active listener. Respect all people and materials. • Remember, it is your future! You will get out of this class what you put into it.
