Department Objectives What do we mean by objectives? A learning objective should describe what you should know or be able to do at the end of the course that you couldn't do before. So, have you ever thought what are the English Language objectives? Have you ever thought, why do we learn English in the first place? Well, let’s go over our VISION & MISSION to find out !
Our vision is to TEACH FOR LIFE. Teaching for life, for example, means that we want you to be able to get a great job when you grow up where you can use all the skills that you have learned with us. Now, can you get a job nowadays without knowing how to speak English fluently? English is known to be the dominant Language now all over the word. It it’s the Language of International communication, the Media and the Internet. More than 67 countries all over the world speak English. Knowing English increases your chances of getting a good job in a Multinational Company. So, learning English is important for socializing and entertainment as well as work !
English Department Objectives Speaking Objectives: this year you will be able to : ● Summarize information presented ● Identify reasons and evidence a speaker is ● Plan and deliver a speech ● Use body language and gestures Grammar ● Use correct grammar ● Use a variety of sentence types
English Department Objectives Phonics ● Capitalize appropriate words ● Correctly add suffixes to base words: sitting, smiled, cries Writing : this year you will be able to : ● Write opinion pieces that include a chart or graph and list reasons that support the opinion ● Write informative pieces that name the topic, supply facts, and use linking words and phrases ● Write narrative pieces that introduce a narrator and characters, and write about what the characters say, think, and feel ● Produce writing that is developed, focused, organized, and edited
Your OWN Objectives Have you ever set goals for your self? Well , its about time Set 2 goals for your self for Semester 1 1 st academic goal 2 nd personal goal We will come back to these goals to see if we have achieved them or not. Then, set new goals for our 2 nd semester

Expectations & Requirements Every week: 1 concept check on Edpuzzle for Grammar, Spelling/Phonics & Writing (1 video for all 3 lessons) Every week: 1 Practice on Quizziz for Grammar& Phonics For writing: you will be writing a journal every week (notebook) Along with some practice on the 6 traits of writing
Let us see what our week will look like 1 st: You will receive 1 power point on the blog for all 3 lessons (Grammar, Phonics & Writing) 2 nd: This power point will take you through the lessons step by step along with some practice as well 3 rd: At the end of each lesson, you will have a concept check to be done on Edpuzzle Note: Concept checks are due the night before class. 4 th: At the end of each power point you will have your practice assignment which will be done on Quizziz. Practice will include all 3 lessons (Grammar, Phonics & Writing)
