Your challenge: Throughout the week, a lot of the work we have been doing in English and in art has been looking at how we can represent feelings and emotions in lots of different ways. For example, Kandinsky and Seurat believed colours were a good way of representing and thinking about emotions. Frida Kahlo believed the same, but would also carefully select what to paint as another way of doing this. The question I would like you to answer is: If you could turn an emotion or a feeling into a character, what would like look/act like? Art often does this, but it can be seen elsewhere too. The film ‘Inside Out’ does this really well!
Your challenge: Create a character profile for an emotion of your choosing to answer this question: If you could turn an emotion or a feeling into a character, what would it look /act like? Here are some questions to think about. The next slide has a template that you could use if you would like to. Please feel free to set this out however you like though. • • What does their voice sound like? How do they treat others? How would they react in stressful situations? What other words can be used to describe your character? E. g. if you are representing the feeling of happiness, what other words are there for happiness (synonyms)?
