1. Defining ESP Let’s start with

Teaching English to students and mostly adults whose first language is not English. Teachers consider learners’ specific goals, careers, jobs or fields of study 6

ESP > ESP is goal-directed ( an approach to language teaching based on learners' goals, objectives, targets and reasons for learning. > ESP enable individuals to read any pieces that have relation with their work and future career. 7

ESP > Robinson (1991) binds ESP to learners’ exclusive need to use English in their studies and to meet their workplaces’ demands rather than being interested in neither English language nor English culture. 8
