The Manufacturing process The manufacturing process begins with 4000 components supplied by many suppliers, company-owned or outside. www. 1 ppt. com

chassis installation Assembly line completes front and rear suspensions, gas tanks, rear axles and drive shafts, gear boxes, steering box components, and braking systems. www. 1 ppt. com

body installation The floor pan is the largest body component. First the left and right quarter panels are placed onto the floor pan。 then the front and rear door pillars, roof, and body side panels。 www. 1 ppt. com

painting process The multi-step painting process requires inspection, cleaning, undercoat dipping, drying, topcoat spraying, and baking. www. 1 ppt. com

interior assembly Interior assembly includes two steps, assembling the windshield and the rest. Workers assemble all of the instrumentation and wiring systems, interior lights, seats, door and trim panels, headliners, radios, speakers, all glass except the automobile windshield. Robots place the windshield into the body windshield frame. www. 1 ppt. com

mating process, Assembly workers bolt the car body to the frame. Once the mating takes place the automobile proceeds down the line to receive final trim components, battery, tires, antifreeze, and gasoline. www. 1 ppt. com

checking process There its engine is audited, its lights and horn checked, its tires balanced, and its charging system examined. www. 1 ppt. com

Exercises Rearrange the following manufacturing steps in the correct order. §A. The left and right quarter panels are robotically placed onto the floor pan. §B. Assemble all of interior lights. §C.
