English 1099 – Week Eight Revising paragraphs: Choose three paragraphs to revise fully for 25% See paragraph revision instructions in Assignments -support all claims with evidence and citation -use simple present tense -use third person -fix vague pronoun referent and passive voice -make sure all of the ideas are connected and make sense -use transitional phrases to connect ideas -use organizational strategies to organize your ideas -make sure you have a clear topic sentence and topic renewal -see sample paragraphs for examples (“transit” and “the right to play”)
