WELCOME! • Welcome to EHS and English 10! • Yes, many of you have seen me before. I have taught at EDMS and EDA the last two years. • Yes, I got married. • My full name is Mrs. Szewczyk-Evans. No, you don’t need to use my full name.

CLASS EXPECTATIONS 1. 2. 3. 4. Yours: You will be in class, prepared and on time every day, barring illness/outside circumstances. You will not use your cell phone/i. Pod/etc. during instructional time. You will turn in completed assignments on time. You will respect the classroom and all people/things in it at all times. 1. 2. 3. 4. CLASS EXPECTATIONS/SYLLABUS Please look at the syllabus for our class. You need to take home the syllabus, go over it with a parent/guardian, and have them sign it. This counts as assignment #1 and will give your first grade. DUE Friday, 9/11 in-class.

ASSIGNMENTS • Look at our syllabus. Yes, we will have them and yes, you have to complete them if you want to succeed in English 10. • All assignments will be numbered. I will keep track of completed and turned-in assignments. • You can always check the wall to see if you have turned in an assignment or not.

LATE ASSIGNMENTS • Yes, we will accept them. No, you will not receive full credit. • All late assignments automatically lose 10 points. • That means the highest grade a late assignment can receive is a 90.
