Producers • A producer is an organism that has a process of making its own food. An example of a producer is a plant or a flower. These organisms make their own food but how do they get all this energy? Oh of course there roots suck up water they also need sunlight to make all this food. They make food with photosynthesis.

Herbivores • A Herbivore is a organism that mainly eats plants. It eats the producers. So the energy that the producer made will pass on to the herbivore who just ate it. This is how the energy passes from one organism to another.

Carnivores • A carnivore is a organism that eats mainly meat. It eats herbivores

Carnivores • A carnivore is a organism that eats mainly meat. It eats herbivores and the energy from the herbivore goes in to the carnivores body. So the energy in the producer goes to the herbivore and from that to carnivore. • There are 2 levels of carnivores. One level contains lizards and other small creatures which eat herbivores and are called first level of consumers. The second level contains organisms like tigers who eat herbivores and the first level of consumers. And the energy passes on and on.

Decomposers • Decomposers have a special part in this cycle. They decompose or break down a dead animal and plants. Examples of decomposers are, fungi, mosses and more. They finish off the animal. This may sound gross but these animals play a very special part. Decomposers are the last type of organism the pyramid.
