24 A large crowd followed and pressed around him. 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed. ” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes? ” 31 “You see the people crowding against you, ” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me? ’ ” 32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering. ” New International Version (NIV)

The Jesus Christ that I believe in was the man who turned over the tables in the temple and threw the money-changers out. " “Jesus was a radical who taught us how to live when some of us have so much and others have so little. ” “You have to learn to accept yourself and accept who you are in Christ, rather than what other people want you to be. ”

WOULD THE REAL JESUS STAND UP! “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went about doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. ” Acts 10: 38 “The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. ” 1 John 3: 8 b “The thief comes only to steal, kill & destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10: 10 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Heb. 13: 8

BE HONEST ABOUT YOUR BROKENNESS! “Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. ” (v 33) • • Subject to bleeding for 12 years (v 25) Suffered a great deal despite the care of many doctors (v 26) Financially impoverished (v 26) Condition getting worse (v 26) We are all broken! Come to Jesus in all your brokenness.

Jesus never came to die & then rise again so that you would become

Jesus never came to die & then rise again so that you would become a better version of you. He did it so that your old life would be gone & He would give you a brand new life. The New Testament says “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5: 17 Jesus offers you a brand NEW LIFE today! Let your mind be changed so that you give up wanting to be in charge of your own life & surrender your whole life into His hands. You can trust Him!

Mark 5: 29, 30 Lots of people were “crowding against” Jesus (Mark 5: 31), “pressing against” him (Luke 8: 45) but she was determined to get to Him and had a simple trust that He would heal her. The result of her encounter with Jesus was PEACE & FREEDOM. Mark 5: 34
