SUPPORT AVAILABLE FROM ENABLING SERVICES We are a team of 30 and provide the following support for students: • Mental Health and Wellbeing Support • Disability Support • Specific Learning Difficulties and Study Skills Support • Learning Support (e. g. note-taking) • Additional Exam Recommendations (e. g. extra time) • Disabled Students’ Allowance advice and support

SUPPORT AVAILABLE FROM ENABLING SERVICES STUDY SUPPORT Study Skills Support No appointment necessary. Mon, Wed, Fri (term time) Wed (vacation) 2: 00 pm – 4: 00 pm in the AT Suite, Hartley Library. Assistive Technology Suite and assistive technology software on all campuses. Specialist study workshops for students with a specific learning difficulty (Sp. LD).
Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) SUPPORT If you have a disability, mental health condition or Sp. LD which affects your ability to study you may be entitled to extra support at university through the Disabled Students Allowance. The DSA is a non-repayable government grant to help cover costs related to your study. If you were entitled to the DSA on your UG course you will need to re-apply for DSA for this course. THE DSA CAN FUND: • Specialist equipment/software: for example a laptop or ergonomic chair. • Non-medical helpers (NMH): for example mentoring and study skills support. • Extra travel: if your disability impacts your ability to travel. • Other disability related cost of study.
OTHER UNIVERSITY SUPPORT Student Life Wellbeing support for all Uo. S students 24/7 365 days a year. Based in Halls of residence but available for all students. Also contacted via telephone 24/7. University Library Ø Ø Ø Academic skills hub Study workshops Online study resources Library disability support Accessibility support e. g. longer loans, postal loans, retrieval service and reformatting resources. Faith and Reflection Centre (FRC) A quiet space on campus where students can enjoy free tea and coffee, chat with a chaplain, or simply just be. The FRC also run a range of events for students. You do not need a faith to access the Faith and Reflection Centre.
