CEMon Enabling Grids for E-scienc. E • We failed something with the tag given

CEMon Enabling Grids for E-scienc. E • We failed something with the tag given for GLite v. 1. 2 – Not all our last changes (in particular the ones done during the integration with ISM) were included in GLite v. 1. 2 • • • Fixed in GLite v. 1. 3 – Fixes for bugs #9700 and #9770 GLite v. 1. 4 == GLite v. 1. 3 for what concerns CEMon For next GLite release we will deliver – Fix for bug #10063 (showstopper for CEMons using in sync mode, but no QFs have been asked): already done – Support for Axis 1. 2 (already done) – Porting to GSoap 2. 7. 5, if needed § We would like to have a clear statement on this item (as discussed yesterday) – Other possible fixes § Not aware of other pending issues regarding CEMon • Working on Gridice – CEMon integration, as agreed – Making Grid. Ice information available via CEMon – Grid. ICE team is working on getting CE Info via CEMon instead of GRIS § Done (further tests needed) • Start working on CEMon – CREAM integration – To be notified when a job changes status – Needed for WMS-CREAM integration, but also useful for a generic client § E. g. GRIDCC asked for this functionality http: //grid. pd. infn. it/cemon/field. php INFSO-RI-508833 Massimo Sgaravatto - INFN Padova 2

CREAM Enabling Grids for E-scienc. E • Some changes since last meeting: – Porting

CREAM Enabling Grids for E-scienc. E • Some changes since last meeting: – Porting to Axis 1. 2 done – “Notifier” of job status changes (as we discussed last time) implemented § Since we need (for integration with CEMon and WMS) to be told when jobs change status • Polling of all active jobs is not sensible § Implemented for LSF at the moment § Being done for PBS – LSF connector implemented § § § INFSO-RI-508833 To ease the submission process To try to reduce some overhead Implements also suspend and resume For LSF: possible to use LSF connector or BLAH connector For other batch systems: BLAH connector Massimo Sgaravatto - INFN Padova 3

CREAM Enabling Grids for E-scienc. E • Some changes since last meeting (cont. ed):

CREAM Enabling Grids for E-scienc. E • Some changes since last meeting (cont. ed): – Suspend and Resume operations implemented § Of course they work only if the LSF connector is used – Finalized implementation of other operations § In particular job. Status • Allows also queries filtered on job status and/or jib submission time • Reports all the foreseen attributes – Support for MPICH jobs implemented § Scenarios where the system is not shared between CE and WN supported – Support for DGAS integrated in CREAM JW § Not used yet: we need to integrate WMS first INFSO-RI-508833 Massimo Sgaravatto - INFN Padova 4

CREAM Enabling Grids for E-scienc. E • Some changes since last meeting (cont. ed):

CREAM Enabling Grids for E-scienc. E • Some changes since last meeting (cont. ed): – Clients § C++ CLI is in good shape § Basically the missing part is the support of config file • Basically done: to be tested § Java API available as well • Asked by Grid. CC • Not fancy as the C++ CLI, but it works – Bug fixes and improvements § Some code reengineered – Proposal for CREAM-WMS prepared § See Moreno’s slides INFSO-RI-508833 Massimo Sgaravatto - INFN Padova 5

CREAM: documentation Enabling Grids for E-scienc. E • Available: – WSDL documented § Produced

CREAM: documentation Enabling Grids for E-scienc. E • Available: – WSDL documented § Produced via wsdldoc – CREAM JDL attribute specifications § Updated whenever changes are required – CREAM CLI user’s guide § Updated whenever changes are required – CREAM Java client § Documentation available on the web – Installation guides • CREAM CLI • Late with “high level” document describing CREAM architecture and functionality – Internal deadline for first draft: October, 3 • All available in http: //grid. pd. infn. it/cream/field. php INFSO-RI-508833 Massimo Sgaravatto - INFN Padova 6

CREAM and Grid. CC Enabling Grids for E-scienc. E • GRIDCC is integrating CREAM

CREAM and Grid. CC Enabling Grids for E-scienc. E • GRIDCC is integrating CREAM submission in their portal • Implemented and provided Java clients, as they requested • We maintain a CREAM installation, deployed on a small LSF farm in Legnaro, used for their tests – The client is in Trieste • Support to Laura Del Cano (Elettra, Trieste) who is doing the work • This should be shown in their (Grid. CC) EU review INFSO-RI-508833 Massimo Sgaravatto - INFN Padova 7

CREAM: what is missing Enabling Grids for E-scienc. E • Some first items: –

CREAM: what is missing Enabling Grids for E-scienc. E • Some first items: – Credential mapping § Su-exec stuff (JRA 3) not ready yet – Support of DAGs and bulk jobs § We plan to implement parametric and collection jobs as DAG jobs, as done in the WMS – VOMS based Auth. Z § Now we have just grid-mapfile based authorization § VOMS Auth. Z PDP (JRA 3) not ready yet – Implementation of proxy renewal functionality – Integration with WMS § In particular implementation of ‘XYZ’ (see slides concerning WMSCREAM integration) INFSO-RI-508833 Massimo Sgaravatto - INFN Padova 8

Other Enabling Grids for E-scienc. E • Support for shallow resubmission implemented in LM

Other Enabling Grids for E-scienc. E • Support for shallow resubmission implemented in LM • JC/LM problems – A couple of bugs fixed – Still a couple to be addressed • Prototype and testing activities § § INFSO-RI-508833 Maintenance of the WMS and CEs of the prototype Support to testing team Testing of candidate releases Testing of new stuff Massimo Sgaravatto - INFN Padova 9
