It was made famous to the Western world in the 19 th century by its British discoverer Charles Fellows carried away most of the finds of Xanthos (now in the British Museum) many interesting monuments and structures remain, including two of the most interesting tombs in Lycia.

Saklıkent (Hidden City) The second largest canyon in Europe. The Canyon is 300 meters

Saklıkent (Hidden City) The second largest canyon in Europe. The Canyon is 300 meters deep and 18 km long, resulting from the abrasion of the rocks by flowing waters over thousands of years. Six km of the 18 km long canyon are good for hiking. Patara Beach One of the largest and most beautiful beaches near the ancient city of Patara in Turkey. It is the one of the places that sea turtles leave their eggs. Because of this, the beach is under protection. At its Eastern-most point there is a rocky outcrop looking over a spectacular rocky cove.

Kalkan (Kalamaki) It attracts thousands of tourists each year with its hotels, pensions, restaurants

Kalkan (Kalamaki) It attracts thousands of tourists each year with its hotels, pensions, restaurants and shops near the Yacht Harbor. The city’s architecture has been preserved. You can take your boat ride to Pigeon Sea Cave 2 km from Kalkan. It takes its name from the many pigeons who find refuge there. Kaputaş Beach A long beach between Kaş and Kalkan in southwestern Turkey. At a point where an extremely narrow valley towered by steep cliffs and forests joins the sea shore in the cove of the same name as the beach (Kaputaş). The beach is quite popular among visitors to the region due to its untouched natural beauty commanded by a view from the heights traversed by Kaş-Kalkan road. It is a favorite stopover for yachts along the Blue Cruise, although the open sea, and sometimes also the cove itself, can be quite unstable and wavy. The sea gets deep rather close to the beach in Kaputaş.
