NTDB 2014 Implementation � The EMS &Trauma Registries will now be NTDB compliant and capable � What does this mean? § You can now submit in the NTDB prescribed XML format as outlined in the NTDB Data Dictionary
XML File Uploads � � � The Registry will now accept NTDB XML files Software vendors should be able to provide an extract in their software that conforms to the NTDB 2014 standard The XML and Legacy files are different! § An XML sample file will be posted on our website for reference. You will be required to have the proper header and footer § The registry will continue to accept Legacy files, however, they will be phased out over time. § XML provides a clearer and more accurate file
How to Upload XML in to the Registry, then click the Import Roster button � From the Roster Format drop-down, select Hospital_XML_Importer (see image below) � Log
New Feedback Submission Report � The Registry has improved the Feedback Report customers receives � The new Feedback Report is provided in a PDF format � This report provides a more defined explanation on problems with files, and clearer information on how many records have been accepted
New Feedback Submission Report � Two Sections: Summary § Provides a snapshot of the file submission, giving accurate numbers on how many records have been accepted and how many contain errors or warnings Details § Provides specific details on each error and warning in the file, including what element is affected and the nature of the problem and also, identifies records that are incomplete
How to Access Feedback Report Summary Results � � To access the Feedback Report, log in to the Registry Go to your Entity’s “Record Summary” dashboard, then click on “Submission Status – XML Files”, located in the Questions Packages

Improvements in Web-Data Entry § Web-Data Entry users now have an improved Wizard to use, consisting of all the NTDB and Custom elements § Question flow has been improved to be more logical, and rules with warnings have been implemented to identify potential problem answers
Improvements in Web-Data Entry � Additional conditions have been placed on questions so that they can be auto-completed under certain circumstances � For Example: § A number of date and time fields that are only pertinent when a patient arrives via an ambulance, those fields now auto-populate to ‘Not Applicable’ when patients arrive via other means (i. e. private vehicle)
New Password Reset Functionality � You now can reset your password after 3 failed login attempts. You MUST have your security question entered on your account Profile within the Registry for this to apply. Upon clicking on “Reset Password”, you will be prompted to enter your username and email address, then click the submit button.
