About South Texas College Founded in 1993 More than 120 programs (5 Bachelors, 70 Associates, more than 50 Certificates) Average enrollment 30, 000 (Fall 2019 over 33000) Five Campuses and 3 teaching centers serving 2 counties 34 online programs available One of the largest Dual Enrollment Programs in Texas with a variety of dual enrollment programs have been instituted, including six academies, drop-out recovery programs and other unique initiatives with 24 school districts, and over 78 high school sites throughout the two counties More than 70% are FTIC More than 95% are Hispanic More than 75% with some form of financial aid

Degree. Works was implemented and went live for students in 2015 Degree. Works is a comprehensive, easy-to-use, web-based academic advising and degree audit tool that helps students and their advisors successfully navigate curriculum requirements. It provides all active catalogs, currently 2013 to present It is maintained by Curriculum and Student Learning Used by all students, dual credit and traditional Training includes STC faculty/staff as well as support staff from ISD partners
PROGRESS METER Progress Meter was developed in 2016 and implemented in It was designed to allow students to monitor most recent degree progress without having to access Degree. Works It is embedded within the landing page in the student portal and includes Core Curriculum, TSI, GPA, and overall progress Real-time progress When students change declared program, progress meter is (immediately updated)
