HISTORY OF COMPANY v 1985: The Emirates start its service with only two aircraft. v 2005: The Emirates ordered the largest number ever for the Boeing 777. v 2006: The Emirates signed for 10 of Boeing’s 747 -8 F aircraft at the Farnborough air show. v 2007: The Emirates signed to get 120 Airbus A 350 s, 11 A 380 s, and 12 Boeing 777 -300 ERs at the Dubai airshow.
