Emile Sande Born: 10 March 1987 Born in Sunderland. Moved to Aberdeen when she was 4 and grew up there. Emeli Sandé was well on the road to becoming a doctor - but decided to try her chances in the music industry after writing Diamond Rings, the hit she had with rapper Chipmunk. Sande signed a record deal with Virgin Records in 2010 after writing songs for the likes of Chipmunk, Professor Green, Cheryl Cole and Tinie Tempah. Sande has music of contemporary R&B, Gospel, soul music, and pop. Heaven was released in 2012 with Virgin Records.
