Emile Sande Born: 10 March 1987 Born in Sunderland. Moved to Aberdeen when she was 4 and grew up there. Emeli Sandé was well on the road to becoming a doctor - but decided to try her chances in the music industry after writing Diamond Rings, the hit she had with rapper Chipmunk. Sande signed a record deal with Virgin Records in 2010 after writing songs for the likes of Chipmunk, Professor Green, Cheryl Cole and Tinie Tempah. Sande has music of contemporary R&B, Gospel, soul music, and pop. Heaven was released in 2012 with Virgin Records. Written by Emeli Sande and naughty boy, produced by mike spencer, directed by Jake Nava Fearne Cotton chose it as song of the week Got to Number 2 in the charts.
