E-mail Writing Rubric Student: : Student _________________ Categories 4 3 2 1 Information and content in e-mail Give clear information, your purpose, and explanations about yourself in depth: who you are; what do you want; and what do you need to say in e-mail to landlord/landlady. Give clear general information and explanations about yourself in an e-mail to contact landlord/landlady. Give information about yourself briefly and did not give some important information such as purpose of this mail, your interest, and so on. Did not give any clear information and give the unimportant and inappropriate message. Well organized Have a well organized and clearly state in the Email. Using correct structure and follow a logical sequence. Include clear topic sentences and is some what sequential. Also, have a nice E-mail writing structure/styles. There is at least one sentence which gives the purpose of this message and is somewhat sequential. Lack of statement, has no logical sequence and messages are jumped around. Correct grammar and spelling Sentences are simple and clear. None of grammar and vocabulary mistake! There are only two or three grammar and vocabulary mistakes. A few grammar and vocabulary mistakes occur in the messages. Very frequent grammar and spelling errors, lots of vocabulary and grammar mistakes. E-mail using skill Very Skillful. Use e-mail to both receive and send. Understand know the functions and natural of e -mail or outlook application very well. Mostly Skillful. Use email to both receive and send. Understand know some of functions of e-mail or outlook application. From the beginning of class until the end of the class, there is only a few improvement of knowledge about Email/Outlook.
