Filtering the Elog: Date Span • Used to emulate the various ways machine groups and Operations viewed their elogs • Options • Hour (beginning of hour) • Shift (AD/Ops shifts) • Day (midnight to midnight) • Week (beginning of week) • None (default) • Default is none (rolling entries) • Can be set via url
Filtering the Elog: Refinement • Used for logbook selection and refinement. • Can refine by • Log • Category • User • Subject • Importance • Default is none (viewing all logs and not refined) • Can be set via url
Filtering the Elog: Sorting • Used to sort entries • Supports multiple fields for sorting • Creation Date • Modified Date • Is memo • Saver count • Entry Id • Comments always appear sorted newest last • Can be set via url
Filtering the Elog: Limit • Limits the amount of entries viewable at once • Not applicable when entry count returned is less than selected limit • Default is 100 (min 1, max 250) • Can be set via url
Adding entries • Must be logged in • Must be an active user with log privileges • Must select at minimum one log • Entry must have text • May additionally tag category, co-author, participants, and importance • Files may be added with captions
Editing entries • Must be logged in • Must be the author or co-author of the entry or have super admin privileges • The entry creation date must be less than 12 hours old or the user must have super admin privileges • Must select at minimum one log • Entry must have text • May additionally tag category, co-author, particpant, and importance • Files may be added, sorted or removed • May hide the entry
Commenting entries • Must be logged in • Must be an active user with privileges to a log that the entry has tagged • Comment must have text • May additionally tag co-author and participants • Files may be added with captions • Entries may have unlimited comments and there is no time limit
Editing comments • Must be logged in • Must be the author of the comment or have super admin privileges • The comment creation date must be less than 12 hours old or the user must have super admin privileges • Comment must have text • May additionally tag co-authors and participants • Files may be added, sorted or removed • May hide the comment
Saving entries • Must be logged in • Can save any entry • Can later filter by entries you saved or others have saved
Entry memos • Must be logged in • Anyone with privileges to entries log(s) can tag entry as memo • Tag entries with information that is pertinent now but not forever. When the information is out of date someone else can un-tag it
Email entries • Must be logged in • Must include a subject and text • Can email any entry to any valid email address
