THE HALL OF FAME RATIONALE • Honor all the legendary athletes, coaches & community members who have made outstanding contributions to Elmont High School.

CATEGORIES FOR CONSIDERATION • • ATHLETE COACH/ATHLETIC ADMINISTRATOR HONORARY TEAM

CRITERIA FOR EACH CATEGORY 1. STUDENT-ATHLETE – Minimum of four years out of High School – Must have attended Elmont for a minimum of three years – Must have graduated from Elmont High School and earned a Varsity Letter – Significant accomplishments during High School – Reputable community member

CRITERIA FOR EACH CATEGORY 2. COACH/ATHLETIC ADMINISTRATOR – Outstanding contributions to the Elmont Athletic Programs – Significant accomplishments – Retired for at least 2 years

CRITERIA FOR EACH CATEGORY 3. HONORARY – Outstanding contributions to the athletes and programs in Elmont – Does not qualify under either of the other two categories 4. TEAM AWARD – Athletic excellence and championship teams

CRITERIA FOR INDUCTION • • Varsity level competition Leadership Impact on athletic program Scholastic ability Awards and/or honors School, County, or state record holder Post graduate image Outstanding post graduate achievement

GOALS OF THE HALL OF FAME COMMITTEE • Raise the funds for the hall of fame • Decides who gets into the hall of fame • Process the nomination forms
