Ellie (The early years) 1 st born, little early at 37 weeks gestation, 5 1 bs 7 ounces & breech vaginal delivery ! Immediate mother diagnosis ! No initial health concerns except rubbish at breast feeding 1 st cousin born 4 weeks later with DS 1 st 12 mths hospital admissions with recurrent respiratory issues Met many developmental milestones ( walking and toileting) Became a “runner”

Scoliosis – review/care Non surgical approach Hypothyroidism- care/medication Stable Respiratory issues – care Resolved – we hope ! Vision – care & regular reviews Reading glasses Oral health issues & intervention Lovely straight teeth
What worked well ? 2) Education Issues Additional 121 support in mainstream Outcomes /So what ? Safety – a priority STF with integrated approach Support with exposure to mainstream Delaying entry to college 6 th Form 16 -19 yrs 16 isn’t 16 for Ellie ! Friendships /support /time to mature/ teachers motivated to work with CYP & ALN
What worked well ? 3) Social Issues Outcomes Local Aid and Buddies Social opportunities outside the family Local Aid & Summer job Developing independence Residential trips & Youth club S/a Peer support (parent) BFF living up the road ! Sleep overs !
Ambitions Develop Happy A work opportunities – DSA Wales transition to college loving caring boyfriend ! Later on. . Independent living with support
