Vacuum system (1) • TE-VSC specification (EDMS: 1470752) • Vacuum level : 4 x 10 -12 mbar (ring) – 10 -10 mbar TLs • Vacuum chambers and supports: • Design approved by TE-VSC • Drawings for LNR 1 under control 1 (VSC internal review held last week and comments integrated) • Fabrication of Dipole-y chambers launched at the main worksho • Pumps and gate/angle valves: order under way supplied by TEVSC • Bellows: VSC vacuum chambers + BTV tank contacted several companies and received few offers (order will be placed soon) raw material for extremities to be supplied by CERN 23/04/2015 4

Vacuum system (2) • Vacuum firing • T ~ 950°C for 2 h (not done for bellows) • Tramp: 100°C/h • Leak test-acceptance tests (see TE-VSC specification) • Bake-out: most of cases strips and insulation with Kapton and aluminium foil.
