A Not-So-Perfect Solution • Risk of unsightly lumps around injection area • Results are temporary—lasting for a few months to a year

Oxygen • Essential for healthy skin • Skin is the last organ inhaled oxygen reaches • Oxygen depletion and carbon dioxide accumulation lead to: – Poor cellular respiration – Dull and dehydrated skin with uneven skin tone

Perfluorocarbons (PFCs) • Man‐made compounds • Previously used as “artificial blood” – To transport and deliver oxygen in the body • When added to cosmetic formulations – Fast and visible results – Long‐term improvement of age lines

Perfluorocarbons (PFCs) • Help cells breathe better ‐ Exceptional oxygen carriers ‐ Quickly deliver oxygen directly to the dermis (the middle layer of the skin) ‐ Rid the skin of excess carbon dioxide ‐ Restore skin cells’ natural biological functions ‐ Improve skin appearance

Perfluorocarbons (PFCs) • Help increase skin volume – Increase skin volume of the dermis by 10%‐ 15% – Reduce appearance of fine lines

Perfluorocarbons (PFCs) • Help glabellar muscles to relax – Frown lines between eyebrows • Frequent frowning and squinting • Make us look tired and older – Help to relax glabellar muscles and reduce wrinkles

Perfluorocarbons (PFCs) Penetrate quickly for fast, visible and long‐lasting results • Low‐molecular‐weight PFCs – Quickly penetrate the dermis – Fast, visible results

Perfluorocarbons (PFCs) • High‐molecular‐weight PFCs – Maintain the initial results – Further beautifies the dermis • A combination of PFCs – With different molecular weights and half‐lives – Results can last up to 11 days after stopping application
