Objective & Purpose of e. SWIS In the year of 2014, the Hazardous Materials Division of Department of Environmental Malaysia has planned to create a self regulation system that can facilitate the industries in managing of scheduled wastes. e. SWIS is the system allowing the waste generator to periodically report generated waste inventory and used to track the movement & handling of scheduled waste on‐line with DOE licensed waste receiver. Besides the system also used by DOE to monitor the scheduled waste generator to comply with Scheduled Waste Regulation 2005 includes inventory, transport and disposal. e. SWIS As Self Regulation Who is required in compliance to DOE regulation The management of scheduled waste involves three (3) parties. They are waste generator, waste transporter and waste receiver. Each of them have their own responsibility in compliance to the regulation : WASTE GENERATOR § Generated Waste Notification § Monthly Inventory Balance § Submission of Consignment Note (offsite waste handling ) § Storage & Consignment Barcoding (label printing) § Update Premise & Branch Location Information WASTE TRANSPORTER WASTE RECEIVER § Supply Driver & Vehicle Particular § Receiving Consignment Note from Generator § Acknowledge Consignment Note that Pending Transit only § Validate received package of disposal waste § Update Consignment Note Status to End the Loop For Internal Discussion Only Company Proprietary and Confidential
