Electrical and Thermal Insulation Tapes • Electrical tape (or insulating tape) is a type of pressuresensitive tape used to insulate electrical wires and other material that conduct electricity. • It can be made from a variety of plastics, but vinyl is most popular, as it stretches and gives an effective and long lasting insulation. • At Tape-Rite we stock a complete line of electrical and thermal insulation tapes for electrical and high temperature applications.

Vinyl Electrical Tapes • Soft, stretchy vinyl conforms to the connection forming a safe, secure insulating wrap. • Comes in a wide range of grades, sizes and colors for any application. • These tapes can also be used for cable marking, jar and can sealing, decoration and more.

Polyester (Mylar®) Electrical Tapes • A perfect choice for wrapping coils, capacitors and potentiometers. • They also have excellent abrasion resistance, making them an excellent choice for dissimilar metals separation. • Available with silicone, acrylic or thermosetting rubber adhesives.

PTFE (Teflon®) Electrical Tapes • Used in a wide range of applications where superior electrical resistance is needed. • Withstands a wide range of temperatures from -40°F to 500°F. • Perfect choice for overwrapping high voltage coils in a wide range of applications.

Fiberglass Cloth Electrical Tapes • Offer excellent temperature resistance, conformability, chemical and solvent resistance. • Perfect for wiring harnesses, coil armor wrap and high temperature non-electrical applications • Available with rubber, silicone and thermosetting rubber adhesives.

Polyimide (Kapton©) Electrical Tapes • Perfect for powder coat masking, wave solder/hot air leveling, thin metals spray masking, and solar panel insulation. • Exhibits superior tear and abrasion resistance at elevated temperatures. • Available in 0. 001", 0. 002" and 0. 005" thick with silicone or acrylic adhesives.

Self-Fusing Silicone Rubber Tape • Stretchy, non-adhesive rubber tape that bonds to itself. • Use it to cover splices, wrap harnesses, fix small leaks in hoses and more.

Cloth Friction Tape • Black cotton cloth with a noncorrosive rubber resin adhesive. • Perfect tape for wrapping wires, cables and harnesses to protect them from damage due to abrasion or handling. • Used to overwrap low voltage splices or for general electrical maintenance.
