Hay- there is/are hay nubes- there are clouds (it’s cloudy) Hay tormentas- it’s stormy Hace… Hace mal tiempo- it’s bad out (or it’s bad weather) Hace buen tiempo- it’s nice out (or it’s nice weather)
Está- it is Hace it is (literally it makes) está nevando it's snowing hace calor it's warm está lloviendo it's raining hace sol it's sunny está nublado it's cloudy hace fresco it's cool Está soleado It’s sunny hace frío it's cold hace viento It’s windy
You can add mucho before the weather to make it “very” something Ex. Hace mucho sol– it’s very sunny
