His Majesty The Sultan Message His Majesty the Sultan urged everyone to make road traffic accidents the subject of talk with families public awareness in order to limit the phenomenon It may be negligence in maintaining one’s vehicle or a desire to reach one’s destination as fast as possible “Each thing has a tax, but this kind of tax should be seriously considered”, The authorities concerned, especially the Royal Oman Police, are carrying out their duties and raising public awareness. They will do more as they have instructions to intensify efforts for addressing this undesired phenomenon (road accidents), which should be limited as much as possible.

Remember The Basic Road Safety Rules 0 PLAN: get approval for Your journey and allow sufficient time. 0 WEAR: your seatbelts and ensure all your passengers also do 0 OBEY: the Traffic Rules-do not speed. 0 NO: overtaking at restricted area. 0 AVOID: driving at night-when the risks are higher. 0 NO: using GSM while driving. 0 AVOID: using private vehicles in the interior. 0 REST: when you feel tired.
Learn from others : Two Died Eid Holidays: 2 men drove from Yibal to Muscat after a 12 hr shift. Slept a few hours and drove back to Yibal. Factors: • Unauthorised journey • High speed • Not wearing seat belts
