EERE Technology Icons Refresh • Colors have been refreshed and follow the approved EERE color palette • The icons will be available for download here on Communications Standards • Icons usage guidelines are included in the EERE Identity and Design Guidelines. • Check back for the new icons and usage guidelines to be posted by mid-August. 6

Communication Standards Update We’ve completely revised the Domains and URLs page! The page explains: • URL formats for websites hosted in and outside of the Energy. gov Content Management System • Guidance for top-level. GOV and. ORG domains • The two kinds of redirects you can request: • energy. gov/eere/redirectname (energy. gov/eere/wind) • energy. gov/redirectname (energy. gov/femp/) And the process for requesting them. 9

News and Events Database Retirement Before migration to Energy. gov, EERE News and Events Database housed news, events, and financial opportunities. We're retiring it so we ask you to remove links to the old database by Aug. 31. 13

News and Events Database Retirement Archives for all database content in Excel • Corporate news (news releases, EERE Network News, etc) and technology office news back to 2002 • Will send these spreadsheets to each office • Will have title and content of old news stories Only place with links to old database is in body content of pages, where someone manually linked off-site. • Only on oldest content pages, which linked to news stories before they were migrated to Energy. gov and haven't been updated since.
