I. Changes to Discussion Forums • Currently, Edvance 360 provides users with an easy-to -use “Unread Posts & Comments” area on their Home Pages. This area shows unread comments made in discussion forums in any community or course to which the user belongs. A simple click takes the user directly to that discussion thread. • Changes: – Previously, when users clicked on an unread comment it would also clear out any other unread comments in that discussion thread. E 360 no longer does this. – We’ve added color coding to let users know what they have read and haven’t read. – We’ve added a floating navigation box to allow users to move to unread comments easily. – Indentation and other formatting makes discussion comments easier to read, making the flow of the thread more discernable.

II. Discussion Grading in Reports • Edvance 360 now allows instructors and teaching assistants to grade discussion comments from with the Reports feature. • Features: – Previously, the only way to grade discussion comments was to click on the discussion comment from the Home Page (or from with the discussion thread), click “Grade” and enter a grade in the box provided. – This method is sufficient unless the instructor is requiring students to make one initial post, then a few additional comments, and counting all of the above toward the grade. Using the above method, faculty using this scenario would have to search for the original comment and the additional comments separately. – Now, using the Report that shows “Posts + Comments”, instructors can look at all comments made by the student in a particular forum and grade them at once. This provides a more holistic view of the student’s contributions and an easier way to provide a participation grade.

III. Feature Requests • Edvance 360 has always provided a Feature Request area to enable clients to make suggestions for additional features or request a quote for a feature they would like to see added at their own expense. • Changes: – Previously, some clients have felt the Feature Request area was a bit of a “black hole” because they made suggestions, but wouldn’t hear back from Edvance 360 or receive an ETA. They would just see the feature suggested in an upcoming release. – Now, clients can see the features suggested and requested, track the responses from Edvance 360, and provided feedback. – In the future, we’d like to see this feature scale to an area where clients can see what other clients have suggested and vote for those items to make them a higher priority.
