Who is Helping • France and England have funded schools • UNICEF, World Bank, and Cornell University are also funding schools • Another organization: IIEP Problems • Government pays teachers too little, because they spend too much money on the military and conflicts. • When they colonized, Europeans messed up regular school schedule for African, Which means they would have to compete against the smarter Europeans. • Lack of proper learning facilities • Cultural reasons don’t allow women to go to school • Parents don’t want them to go to school • Because of school policy sexual violence doesn’t allow girls to attend school
