EDITING STRATEGY [READ TO YOURSELF] If you do not have a rough draft, you will not receive full credit for this assignment, and you will be writing during this time. LINKING WORDS Underline the first word in every sentence Check to make sure that you do not start every sentence with the same word. If you start multiple sentences with the same word in a paragraph, change the wording with the aid of a linking word sheet.

WORD CHOICE Read through your essay again and circle 5 -10 adjectives in your essay. At the bottom of your essay, write down the word you circle along with an alternative word you could use from the dictionary After you have written down all the alternative words, choose a couple to replace your existing terms For Example: My trip was so fun.
