Editing a Journal Step 1 Begin by navigating to the Edit Journals Request page. Click the Scroll Down button.
Editing a Journal Step 2 Click the General Ledger menu.

Editing a Journal Step 4 Click the Process Journals menu.
Editing a Journal Step 5 Click the Edit Journals menu.
Editing a Journal Step 6 The Run Control ID is an identifier that, when paired with your User ID, uniquely identifies the process you are running. The Run Control ID allows important parameters to be available for a process when the process runs, which ensures that when a process runs in the background, it does not prompt the user for additional values. All parameters are stored within the system and associated with Run Control IDs and User IDs.
Editing a Journal Step 7 You can run this report by searching for an existing Run Control ID or by adding a new value, thus creating your own Run Control ID. Click the Add a New Value tab.
Editing a Journal Step 8 Enter the desired information into the Run Control ID field. Enter "JEDIT".
Editing a Journal Step 9 Click the Add button.
Editing a Journal Step 10 Use the Edit Journals Request page to edit groups of journals based on criteria that you provide. You can also use this page to mark journals for posting.
Editing a Journal Step 11 The options in the Process Frequency group box control how often a request is processed. You want this request to be processed each time editing is initiated. Click the Always option.

Editing a Journal Step 13 Enter the desired information into the Description field. Enter "Edit Expense Entries".
Editing a Journal Step 14 The system displays the default values for the Business Unit, Ledger Group, and Source fields. You can enter a range of Journal IDs or leave parameters blank and the edit process will edit all journals that are valid and ready to be edited.
Editing a Journal Step 15 We would like to edit all valid journals for the month of April of this year for the ONL journal source (online journals). Click in the Journal Date From field.
Editing a Journal Step 16 Enter the desired information into the Journal Date From field. Enter "04/01/2013".
Editing a Journal Step 17 Click in the To Journal Date field.
Editing a Journal Step 18 Enter the desired information into the To Journal Date field. Enter "04/30/2013".
Editing a Journal Step 19 Click the Run button.
Editing a Journal Step 20 Use the Process Scheduler Request page to enter, update, or view parameters, such as server name and process output format.
Editing a Journal Step 21 You must select a Server Name to identify the server on which the process will run. If you use the same Run Control ID for subsequent processes, the server name that you last used will appear by default in this field. Click the Server Name list.

Editing a Journal Step 23 Select the process that includes the journal edit and the edit report from the Process List region. Click the PS/GL Jrnl Edit and Error Rpt option.

Editing a Journal Step 25 Note that a Process Instance number appears. This number helps you identify the process you have run when you check its status.

Editing a Journal Step 28 The process is finished when the Run Status is Success. Continue to click the Refresh button until the Run Status is Success.
