WHAT EDEN PROJECT IS Eden Project is a place where there are two biomes which have different climates and environments. There are five cupolas that have exceptional plants and animals. WHO DESIGNED IT? Nicholas Grimshaw. He is an English architect.
WHEN WAS IT MADE? Ideas were generated and money raised in the early days from 1995 -1999. They started building in 2000. It took two years to build it and it was opened on the 17 th of March 2001.
WHERE ARE THE BIOMES It has a FROM? Mediterranean biome that is from countries such as Spain or Italy. And a Rainforest biome from places like the Congo or Madagascar.
VISUAL
Japanese lantern It’s a shrub with slender 'drooping' stems, up to 3 m tall. It has leaves up to 12 cm long and with serrated margins and flowers delicate, pendulous. Pollinated mostly by birds. Facts Some species are used as a red food colouring, and dried hibiscus flowers are eaten as a delicacy in Mexico.
Red hot cat’s tail It’s a perennial shrub up to 4. 5 m tall with lowers bright red, up to 50 cm long. Each plant has either male or female flowers. Facts This is a popular ornamental plant thanks to its unusually soft, brightly coloured flowers.
SMELL
Arabica coffee It’s a shrub up to 7 m tall, but usually shorter in cultivation. It has bark pale grey. Its leaves are up to 10 cm long, lustrous green. Flowers fragrant and white. Its fruits ellipsoid or ovoid, ripening red, yellow or purple. Facts Arabica coffee dominates the world market and is regarded by most people as producing the highest quality beans.

TASTE
Cacao It’s an understorey evergreen tree up to 8 m tall. Its leaves up to 20 cm long, oblong-obovate with drip tip. Flowers borne in clusters on branches and trunk. Petals are slender and pointed, curving back over flower structure. Its fruits up to 30 cm long, yellow, brown and even purple in colour, usually with 10 ribs. Facts Cocoa trees are originate from South America's rainforests but today most of our cocoa is grown by about 2. 5 million farmers, mainly on smallholdings in West Africa.

Bamboo The bamboo is a plant that can be 35 meters high. It has strong stems. It has hairy leafs in the base near to the stem. FACTS - It is a primitive grass. - There are over a thousand species of bamboo. - It is really important for protecting the ear. - It is used for a lot of different things.
