BIOMES Ecosystem – the given area that supports interactions of different organisms Estuary- a partially enclosed body of water where seawater and fresh water meet and mix Salt marsh- occur in places where the land meets the sea (coastal areas) Ocean – cover ¾ of the earth/Complex food chains/Home to the smallest organisms and the largest Pond – a body of water shallow enough to allow plant roots to reach the bottom Lake – too deep to support plants roots except near the shore
