Deforestation is cutting down trees in a rainforest and a good example is the Amazon Rainforest which has been affected by deforestation Deforestation has caused half of the rainforest to cleared and used for land for agriculture Deforestation leads to global warming and it endangers animal species as their homes get destroyed

Reasons for why Deforestation is an issue As there are many trees cut down in the amazon every minute means that also animals die as well as large amounts of CO 2 get released into the sky. The rainforests are known as the lungs of the Earth as they produce most of the oxygen in the world. Deforestation results to cattle ranching which leads to large amounts of gas going into the sky resulting in increase of temperature.

Farming Many of the farmers don’t know how to use the land properly so the land gets unfertile very quickly and this results in them getting only one harvest per year They then cut down more trees and use that land for their crops but this procces repeats again and the land gets unfertile Almost all of the farm land then is used to grow soy beans either for selling them or feeding the cattle on the ranches near the farms. The other lands are used by locals to grow their own food

Cattle Ranching Cattle ranching is the biggest reason for deforestation as the companies need land for animals Cattle ranching causes a lot of gases to be released into the atmosphere by the respiration of animals such as cows

Companies that cut down the trees do not care about the rainforest as they cut down the trees for their own benefits and space for animals They cut down thousands of trees and endanger thousands of animal species every year
