Economics & Business Department Programs Economics & Business Department Study Abroad Considerations • A study abroad experience can be very beneficial, even lifechanging • Study abroad works best with economics, business and international business majors • Unfortunately, no accounting and financial economics courses may be taken abroad to satisfy the requirements of these majors • Because of the sequencing of accounting and financial economics courses, a student studying abroad will need to attend summer school at some other institution so as to stay on schedule to graduate in four years • Summer school courses taken to stay on schedule must be approved by the program director of the major program • The student should notify their advisor as early as possible of any intention to pursue study abroad 17
