Librarian Experience • The DRM-free offering gives libraries unlimited concurrent access to an ebook, unlimited copy, print and download. • Librarians can view, search, export, acquire and upgrade DRM-Free titles in Lib. Central • The Expenditure, Usage and Title Reports have been enhanced to search/export for DRM-free titles. • For purchased titles, customers' access is DRM-Free regardless of the title's subsequent status changes. • If a library buys a DRM-protected title that subsequently becomes DRM-Free, their copy of the title becomes DRM-Free. • If a library buys a DRM-Free title that subsequently becomes DRM-protected, their copy of the title remains DRM-Free. • However, for subscribed titles, customers' access reflects the title's current status. • If a library subscribes to a DRM-protected title that subsequently becomes DRM-Free, their subscribed title becomes DRMFree. • If a library subscribes to a DRM-Free title that subsequently becomes DRM-protected, their subscribed title becomes DRMprotected. 12

Purchasing DRM-Free Titles • DRM-Free titles can be purchased like any other title, as long as they are available as DRM-Free. • There no changes to the way titles can be purchased. 19

Upgrading DRM-Free Titles • Upgrading is easy – click “Quick Purchase” beside the “Unlimited Access (DRM-free)” copy on the Full Record page, then Select Upgrade. 20

Patron Experience • Patrons can see DRM-Free information on the Detail Page of applicable titles in Ebook Central. • Patrons can copy, print, and download as many chapters as they wish – without limits. • Downloadable versions of our DRM-free books may be available in two formats: PDF or EPUB. To view a downloaded version of the ebook, the patron may use any reading apps that are compatible with PDF or Epub. • EPUB DRM-Free ebooks contain a watermark in downloaded file. 24
