Young A young is born between may and December. After the young climbs out of the mothers pouch it stays with the mother for a week. A young weighs 640 grams. Juvenile The juvenile eats after sunset. It Eats berries , grass , moss and seeds also slugs , insects. They live in simple recesses that are shallow under ground. Adult When the adult leaves home , she sets off to find a mate to mate with. They mate between June and February in Tasmanian. The female lays up to 3 to 4 litters each one has 1 to 4 babies. The female can give birth to about 16 young's a year. True fact. . . A bandicoot only lives for three years.
• The breeding program helps the eastern barred bandicoot , breed more babies by keeping them in a enclosure so they don’t get eaten by foxes and feral cats and dogs. So the amount of Eastern barred bandicoot increase.
• I would say the Adult because she or he has to look after the babies and feed them and make sure they don’t get eaten by predators or get hungry.
• If we didn’t have science we would only have half the amount of the information we have now. Science helps us to understand what is happening to the Eastern barred bandicoot , so that we can help the bandicoot by killing all of the animal that are predators to the bandicoot and habitat loss to stop.
