Easter is a symbol of new life. In England it happens on the first Sunday after the first full moon in spring. It is dedicated to Jesus Christ resurrection. Easter marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring. In The name Easter comes from Eostre. It is the name of the Saxon Goddess of spring.

You can see here the symbols of Easter. Before the holiday people paint eggs and on Easter Sunday they exchange chocolate eggs. Long ago some people believed that the Earth appeared from a gigantic egg.
