Meet Our Kindergarten Teachers!
Mrs. Bishop has taught in Pike for 25 years. She taught 1 st and 2 nd grades at Deer Run, and at Eastbrook she has taught 1 st and Kindergarten. She and her husband reside in Pike. In fact, both of their children attended the old Eastbrook. She believes that children want to do their best and meets them in their learning. She is excited to meet her new class!
Miss Hafer has taught Kindergarten for 6 years. She believes in doing everything possible to provide a nurturing and caring environment for all children to learn and grow, not only mentally, but also physically and emotionally. She cannot wait to get to know all of her new students, and she hopes they are just as excited. She believes when we all work together, we can instill a love of learning that will last a lifetime.
Miss Qualls, affectionately known by students and staff as Miss Q, will be entering her 9 th year of teaching. She has been at Eastbrook Elementary School teaching Kindergarten all 9 years!! Miss Qualls is a strong believer in making sure all needs (academic, physical, emotional, mental and social) of her students are met. Her purpose is to educate students thirsting, yearning & needing to learn and doing so in a nurturing, inviting, engaging & safe learning environment. She looks forward to meeting and working with your children this upcoming school year!! ☺
Mrs. Thrasher has taught Kindergarten at Eastbrook for 33 years. She is a strong believer that all children have a love for learning, and she tries to make learning fun and interesting whether in person or remotely. Mrs. Thrasher is excited to start a new year and meet the needs of your child.

School Information - Attendance Achievement is directly related to academic learning time. Children are expected to be at school, on time, each day. Students are permitted to enter the building at 7: 55 a. m. and are considered tardy after 8: 15. In the event that your child will be absent, please call our attendance line at: 317 -387 -5959, or the main office at 317 -387 -5900 for general questions. Student absences should be reported, to the school, office within 30 minutes of the start of the school day.
School Information - Transportation Car riders are dropped off and picked up at doors 6 and 8 each day. Each car must have a car rider tag that is issued from the main office. Bus riders are dropped off and picked up in the back parking lot. They are released directly to their classroom, each morning, and walked out to the bus each afternoon by their teacher. If you need to make a transportation change, all changes must be submitted, in writing, no later than 2: 00 p. m. the day of the requested change.
Online Enrollment Pike Township provides a Full Day Kindergarten program. Parents are asked to enroll and register their child online, using your parent account, at : https: //www. pike. k 12. in. us/Content/registration. Any child who is 5 (five) years of age on or before August 1 st, of the current school year, may be registered for kindergarten. Parents must provide a birth certificate, valid driver’s license, proof of residency, immunization records and a copy of utility bills to complete the enrollment process.
Parent Involvement Parental involvement is the key to our student’s education and learning experiences. At Eastbrook, we look forward to partnering, with our parents, for the continued growth and development of our students. Please make sure that you reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions or concerns that you may have. Your child’s teacher will provide you with their phone number and email address, so that you may contact them at any time. We are better, when we work together, as a team!
