Cost & Schedule review: Motivation • The detailed study of the various work packages (WPs) has now progressed; the material estimates for the CERN contributions have been iterated in dedicated WP meetings, leading to more precise updates. • This first review is called to assess the situation and to validate the baseline scenario. • Prior official approval of the project baseline, the panel members are kindly asked to review the following issues: Scope - cost – funding scheme – manpower – schedule – risks and uncertainties – additional options/synergies. Organization of the Review • The morning session will review the overall project and work package status, as well as include dedicated activity presentations by the group responsible and specialists. • The closed afternoon session will allow the review team to prepare and discuss the draft recommendations that can then be discussed together with the project team at the end of that day, allowing to collect further information if required. • The final recommendations of the Review Panel will be submitted in a written report within two weeks from the review to the EN Department Head and presented to the IEFC in early 2017.
