Current status of the cable database • All the files are stored on Share. Point : GESMAR extraction Cablotheque papier has been translated to an Excel format Cables identified on the drawing and apparently still in place has been stored in Excel files This file store all the cables from all source on a common format (From the injector decabling project) E. Current status of the cable database • First numbers : • Total number of cables : 6876 cables (680 of them are flagged as unused or removed) • 3131 from GESMAR Probably still on-site… …and probably more ! • 3745 from the Cablotheque Papier • DC / Signal-control cables • 1824 cables above 100 mm 2 -> Probably DC cables • 4792 Signal/control cables E. De-cabling strategy proposal • Among all the cables in the database, they can fall in 4 categories : • Obsolete Cable : Can be removed during the YETS. • Cables to be removed at the beginning of LS 2 : • Cables that will be impacted by the renovation. Systems that will become obsolete, cables that require new routing) • Cables that need to be kept for the RUN of CLOUD in 2019 • Cables that will be kept during the beginning of LS 2 but will have to be removed once the run is done. • Do no need to be removed : • Out of the scope of the project, cables that will not need to be rerouted. CHARM - IRRAD cables, Systems that are kept after renovation and do not need to be rerouted during the worksite. Cables to be removed for the renovation project E. Harrouch, 22 -09 -2017 PT 12 7

De-cabling strategy proposal • Injectors de-cabling strategy applied : First meeting by the end of November/beginning of December to provide all the information/cable lists to the involved groups. 2. Off-site identifications will be required in order to prepare the on-site identifications (Until February 2018), 3. On-site identifications (During February 2018), 4. Pre-removal of obsolete cables (End of February 2018) if possible/necessary 5.
