JESUS AND ME • This is for kindergarteners and first graders. • You will learn that Jesus is the Son of God. He is also a: • Storyteller • Teacher • Friend • Healer

JESUS AND ME - STORYTELLER Hear a story that Jesus told. Have fun telling your own story!

JESUS AND ME - TEACHER Learn how Jesus taught in many different places to many different people. You, too, can teach others about God!

JESUS AND ME - FRIEND Meet some of Jesus’ friends. Be a good friend to others just like Jesus!

JESUS AND ME - HEALER Find out how Jesus healed a man. Discover how you can be a “healer” to people around you!

JESUS SCROLL CRAFT • You will make a scroll and add pages to tell the stories of Jesus. • Use the “Jesus cutout figure” to travel from lesson-to-lesson and make the stories come alive. • How long do you think your scroll will be?

JESUS AND ME RECOGNITIONS • Purple is the color for the Jesus and Me program. • Purple symbolizes Christ as King. • You can wear this award to remember to be a Storyteller, Teacher, Friend, and Healer just like Jesus.

GOD AND ME • This is for second and third graders. • You will tell your story of “God and Me” together. • You will learn that you are “Best Friends with Jesus. ”

GOD AND ME You will: • Read Bible Stories. • Make games and keep them in a GAMEBox. • Play your games with your family!

GOD AND ME • You will also learn about prayer: – You will memorize the Lord’s Prayer. – You will make a prayer cube and pray with your family.

GOD AND ME • You will learn how Jesus was a “Good Shepherd. ” • You will be challenged to help other people, too!

GOD AND ME RECOGNITIONS • Red is for God and Me. It stands for God’s love. • You can wear this award to tell others your story of God and Me and being Best Friends with Jesus.

GOD AND FAMILY GRADES 4 -6

GOD AND FAMILY • If you’re a 4 th, 5 th or 6 th grader, you can do the PIZZA PROGRAM!

GOD AND FAMILY You will: • Meet Bible families. • Learn how family is like pizza! • Make a pizza layer by layer.

CRUST • Every family needs a foundation. • God is what holds up your family – You need a foundation of faith. • You will make a cardboard crust.

SAUCE • Pizza sauce needs lots of spices, and it needs to simmer a long time. • Every family has relatives and a family heritage that extends back in time. • You will weave your heritage into your sauce.

TOPPINGS • Each family member has unique gifts. • You will name each person’s strengths. • You will turn each person into a special topping for your family pizza.

CHEESE • Cheese melts over everything and holds it together. • The Ten Commandments are like cheese holding families together. • You will talk about how to treat each other and add Ten Commandment Cheese

YOUR PIZZA IS READY FOR THE OVEN

BAKE • A pizza needs to be put in the heat of the oven. • Families can get stronger in the heat of tough times. • What are some tools? • Make an oven mitt to remember God’s help.

SHARE YOUR PIZZA! • Pizza is more fun when you share it! • Decorate your pizza box to tell others about God’s love.

GOD AND CHURCH GRADES 6 -8

GOD AND CHURCH • If you are in grades 6 -8, this program is for you! • As the title implies, you will learn about your church. • This program goes well with confirmation classes.

GOD AND CHURCH You will: • Learn the history of your congregation. • Take a “behind the scene” look at worship: – What does it mean to worship? – How does your church prepare a worship service? – How can you contribute to worship?

GOD AND CHURCH You will: • Take inventory of the ways your church ministers and witnesses to others. – What are the programs that help other people?

GOD AND CHURCH You will: • Make a plan to read the Bible everyday for 3 weeks.

GOD AND CHURCH You will: • Do service projects for your church and community.

GOD AND CHURCH Some favorite activities: • Interviewing the pastor. • Visiting other churches. • Making a scrapbook / photo album.
