Reading Pack Every day in school your child will practice their reading and writing

Reading Pack Every day in school your child will practice their reading and writing skills during Phonic and Literacy lessons. Your child will make greater progress if they continue to practice these skills at home. • Reading books; blending sounds, talking about the story and the pictures. • Phoneme pack; learning the letter sounds, tricky words. • When you have read with your child at home please fill in the log book. This will help us track your child’s progress. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD’S READING FOLDER COMES TO SCHOOL EVERY DAY. • Your child will read at least once a week at school. Up to 5 children will be heard each day lasting up to 20 minutes per child. The more you read at home the more progress your child will make with their reading.

Tapestry is a secure online Learning Journal. A learning journal is a record of each child’s learning and shows snap shots of children’s achievements and progress in relation to the EYFS. Not every activity they do will be recorded as a rough guide there should be a new entry on each week. Some times more sometimes less! Tapestry emails are being sent out this week. If you haven’t already done so please email your address and the name of your child.
