§ We will start with testing students writing in the persuasive form in Years 7, 8 and 9 (task E) § This will be undertaken again by students in Term 4 § We will aim to have students undertake the narrative test in Term 3 and again later in Term 4

§ Tests are set up for Year 7, 8 and 9 students § Students need to undertake the writing tests in English classes, it is up to you when and how you arrange this, considering the current curriculum and resource requirements. § Not all students in a class have to do the test at the same time § The persuasive writing test must be done prior to the end of term § Then we will run a session regarding the reports available and what information this provides § We will then be trialing writing conferences, where students have the opportunity to discuss their writing with a teacher and set writing goals and discuss strategies based on this information § We are currently looking at ways to gather and track the writing goals
