Goals of e. RA Project Management w Ensure that commitments made to the user community, the IC’s, and the Steering Committee are met with fidelity w Ensure that e. RA allocates resources in accordance with business priorities as determined by the Steering Committee w Implement modern project management processes that best serve e. RA’s advanced software engineering environment and position the project for compliance with industry standard

Project Management w New projects/new software development and major enhancements to existing software w Minor enhancements, bug fixes, software maintenance w Operations, which supports the development and maintenance of software

Project Planning w Development of the Business Plan – Describe the project – Estimate cost and schedule – Estimate the WBS w Evaluation of the Business Plan – e. RA CIO, Architect, ISSO w Presentation of Business Plan to Project Team for approval

Monitor and Control Cost and Schedule w Tools – Project Central – Time Tracking System (Oracle SBS) • Cost categories • Life Cycle phase • Workflow – Contractor invoicing
