Epoxy coating • Thin layer of epoxy congregates during heated curing process • Apply glue first (roller) and heat the part to ~ 60 C. Smooth out the glue by re-rolling before putting in the oven • 12 BIR + 1 Base Plate coated this way • Thickness ~ 20 um 10/18/18 Chiho Wang, Seog Oh 4

Status • Fixtures: § De-oxidation/cleaning fixture works well § Epoxy coating technique works o Developing heating fixture for glue application § Oven works well • Parts: § 12 BIR processed: epoxy coated + kapton dots applied § 1 Base Plate in progress: o Epoxy coated o To do: glue screws + press-fit nuts + Teflon dots 10/18/18 Chiho Wang, Seog Oh 5

Questions • Do we need to heat the glue for screws and press-fit nuts in baseplate? • How to bag? § Individual or multiple parts per bag? o 5’ long bag for 240 panel x 5 parts length = 6000’ of plastic bags ! § Regular seal or vacuum seal? • Record keeping & data base? § What data to keep and how? § Part id ?
